Stand up Comedy with Tom Brown and Larry Smith

Live from the Tasting Room of Barrel + Beam will be a night of laughs and guffaws. Starring Larry Smith and Tom Brown.
Show starts at 7:00 pm start. The show is technically "free" but please make a donation to the comics (suggested $10).
Larry Smith is a writer, actor, podcaster, voiceover artist, game show host, visual artist, and (most importantly) a standup comedian. He’s headlined The Grove Comedy Club, The Lucky Cat Comedy & Events, Mason City Limits Comedy Club, The Zoo Bar in Lincoln, NE, and for Fox Valley Comedy, along with several other independent venues, rock clubs, and small theaters.

Larry is the creator and host of “Convince Me with Larry Smith” on NPRIllinois and The Front Row Network. He also cohosts another podcast, “Zig & Larry Ignore a Topic.”
He’s been on The Paul Bunyan Comedy Festival and SnoJam Comedy Festival, has been featured by Huffington Post, FOX Illinois, NPRIllinois, selected by The Illinois Times several years as one of their favorite comedians, featured in the book “America’s Best Bar Comics,” and was on Zanies Rosemont’s Tuesday Ten multiple times.
Reena Calm has called him a “one-of-a-kind talent that brings so much good energy to every stage” and “an amazing comic.” Chris Speyrer, owner of Mason City Limits says, “you make it look effortless up there,” and fellow comedian Andy Landgrebe described Larry’s act as “a calm walk through a forest of joy.”
Tom Brown is what happens when you brew espresso with Red Bull: caffeinated class. He is high energy, highly intelligent, and highly silly all at the same time. He’s like a news anchor has had enough and is delivering the news while wearing a clown nose. Based in Grand Rapids, MI (formerly of St. Louis, MO) having grown up in the Northwoods of Northern Michigan and attending college at NMU. He has performed at clubs, festivals and showcases around the country.
Past festivals include:

-2018 Paul Bunyan Comedy Festival, 2019/2020 Gilda’s Laugh Fest, 2023/2024 International Comedy Festival LA (Comedy Chateau), and the 2024 World Series of Comedy Top 101
He ran the South City Comedy Series, a weekly comedy showcase featuring local and touring comics in St. Louis, MO for six years.
